Zelda: Breath of the Wild Player Beats Final Boss While Using an Ocarina for a Controller

Die-hard players of The Legend of Zelda : Breath of the Wild took to social media to share their excitement over beating the action RPG while controlling Hero Link with an ocarina. For fans of The Legend of Zelda : Breath of the Wild, this might be seen as a remarkable feat, as the game is difficult to complete even when played with a regular controller.

The entire Zelda community seems pretty excited about 2023. Nintendo has started and will continue to hype the release of Breath of the Wild sequel Kingdom of Tears. More recently, the company has been working hard to crack down on Tears of Kingdoms leakers, even filing a lawsuit against the platform Discord, claiming it was the primary conduit for one of the game’s major leaks. Still, BotW fans seem to be staying excited about playing the six-year-old action RPG and finding new ways to challenge themselves.

On Twitter, streamer gv_mimi shared a few brief clips of her playing The Legend of Zelda : Breath of the Wild, using only her ocarina as her controller. The Hispanic content creator started this particular challenge on her Twitch channel around March 2023, and it wasn’t until recently that she was finally able to defeat the final boss. Based on their streams, gv_mimi maps notes on their instruments to in-game input. However, they did add the disclaimer that they will also use some keyboard commands to perform multiple inputs simultaneously.

To make her The Legend of Zelda : Breath of the Wild game even more challenging, gv_mimi also said that she will use her voice to try and control the game for every five viewers who subscribe to her channel. While this might sound extremely difficult to other players, the streamer seems to have mastered the nuances and gameplay of Breath of the Wild already, and may be looking to add something more exciting to their gameplay .

Now that gv_mimi has completed her current challenge, she appears to be trying to complete The Legend of Zelda : Breath of the Wild Master Sword Trial upside down. While completing this content might not be new to the playerbase, gv_mimi’s attempt might still give fans something interesting to see. BotW players looking to see some unique gameplay of the action RPG should visit her official stream to learn more.

The Legend of Zelda : Breath of the Wild is now available on Nintendo Switch and Wii U.
