Xbox Game Pass is marking the start of June with the introduction of three new games to its catalog, with Car Mechanic Simulator 2021, Slayers X: Terminal Aftermath, and The Big Con all launching today on Microsoft’s subscription service. These latest news follow two other additions to Xbox Game Pass in late May.
The main value proposition of Xbox Game Pass is to provide access to a broad and diverse game library for a nominal monthly fee. So since the service launched in mid-2017, Microsoft has worked hard to ensure its subscription catalog is constantly flooded with new content. So far, the company has confirmed seven new Xbox Game Pass titles for June 2023, three of which are launching today.
The June 1 batch only features indie games, but it offers a fair amount of genre diversity. The biggest novelty of the trio is Slayers X: Terminal Aftermath, as this retro shooter from one of the most prolific indie publishers on Xbox Game Pass, No More Robots, happens to be released on day one. Those who aren’t interested in run-and-gun action but like the idea of a game with a ’90s vibe should check out The Big Con, a humorous adventure from studio Mighty Yell that’s on a mission to keep players busy in the late 2000s – America’s Last , Car Mechanic Simulator 2021 promises countless hours of entertainment for car lovers.

The title in question is Adios, a nerve-wracking adventure from Mischief Studios about a pig farmer who decides to quit his job disposing of dead bodies for the mob. Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers interested in finding out what’s next have until June 30 to pick up Adios. Vale: Shadow of the Crown will have a similar promotion later this month, with Microsoft previously confirming that the action RPG will also be available for free to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers between June 16 and July 15.
The company intends to follow up on this promising start on June 6, when Xbox Game Pass will receive Amnesia: The Bunker and Hypnospace Outlaw. Another catalog expansion is planned for two days later, when Rune Factory 4 Special and Double Fine’s puzzle game Stacking will join Microsoft’s growing library of games.
