The latest addition to Xbox Game Pass is Homestead Arcana, a farming simulator that adds a touch of wizardry to the formula. While the genre has always been popular, there seem to be more farming sims out there than ever before, likely due to the massive success of Stardew Valley. This one, of all of them, is definitely the one Stardew fans should check out.
Homestead Arcana launches today on Xbox Game Pass for all platforms, allowing fans to play it on their consoles, via the cloud, and on PC. In the game, the player is a farming witch who must explore an area corrupted by Miasma while creating her own farm. Homestead Acana outlines its goals as discovering what caused Miasma to take over the land, using plants to power various spells, and using nature’s magic itself to heal the corrupted land.
Fit for the farming sim genre, players will start with their home and build it up as they discover new plants. Miasma and its dangers are the biggest twist, but perhaps the best thing to experience. New spells, new planets, new recipes and new knowledge can be obtained through exploration, as well as the player’s cat, the cute Huckleberry.

Meanwhile, BlazBlue is a hugely popular fighting game featuring characters from franchises like Persona, Under Night In-Birth, and RWBY. The final game of the month is The Last Case of Benedict Fox, a Metroidvania detective game inspired by Lovecraft, pulp noir, and more.
If nothing else, the games that Xbox Game Pass will end in April speak volumes about how diverse the service is. In a week or so, fans got their hands on a farming sim, a Pokemon clone, a crossover fighting game, and a standalone Metroidvania. Xbox Game Pass may have some weaknesses, but these games definitely highlight its strengths.
