World of Warcraft Discounts Dragonflight for Embers of Neltharion Release

In celebration of Patch 10.1, “Cinders of Neltharion,” World of Warcraft is selling Dragonflight at a steep discount. With the big update live, even players who haven’t purchased World of Warcraft: Dragonflight can jump into new content without straining their wallets.

Embers of Neltharion is officially live on US servers and will be available in other regions of the world shortly after press time. This update opens the way to the new Zaralek Cavern area, introduces the Loamm Niffen Renown faction, expands the Dragonriding system, and adds the ability to form cross-faction guilds in World of Warcraft.

To celebrate the release of Dragonflight’s biggest content update to date, World of Warcraft is offering a massive discount on the expansion pack. From now until May 15th, players can purchase the Basic, Heroic, and Epic Editions at a 40% discount. Considering that the Epic Edition offers 30 days of free play (a $15 value), it’s technically cheaper than the Heroic Edition, and less than $10 more than the Basic Edition.

Dragonflight Base Edition comes with expansion content, access to the Drachtyr Evoker race and class, and 500 Trader’s Tender to spend at the Trading Post. The Heroic Edition also comes with a level 60 character boost, Tangled’s Dreamweaver mount, and the Murkastraza pet, while the Epic Edition includes the Timewalker’s Hearthstone effect, the Lawkeeper’s Crown, and the Wings of Awakening ornament — plus the aforementioned months of playtime .

Now is a good time for old players to revisit World of Warcraft. The Embers of Neltharion patch is full of new things for players to discover. A new leg of the Dragonflight campaign is now available, with additional new chapters and stories coming soon. Players can earn Reputation with the Loamm Niffen for special rewards and participate in new Dragonflight activities like Snail Race and Sniffseeking while exploring Zaralek Cavern.

Starting May 9, Dragonflight’s new Aberrus Raid is available to the public. Players will challenge 9 bosses, including the elder Djaradin, the echo of Neltharion, and the rebellious Dracthyr Scalecommander Sarkareth. Additionally, World of Warcraft players can fight Fyrakk and his Primalist minions as they attack the area of the Dragon Isles in the new Fyrakk Assault World event. With Embers of Neltharion launching at such a huge discount, there’s never been a better time to pick up Dragonflight and experience this new content for a fraction of the price.

World of Warcraft is now available for PC.
