A helpful partner in the Elden Ring can allow the master to deliver the final blow to Malenia. Elden Ring has several tough boss fights, but Malenia may be the most challenging of them all. Recent stats also show that Elden Ring fans have attempted to fight Malenia 329 million times, more than any other boss in the game. Malenia has two phases like some of the other bosses in the game, and has a unique passive that heals her every attack.
Like the Dark Souls games, Elden Ring allows for co-op play, as players can choose to summon other players to help in battle. Having two players in combat is extremely beneficial, as it allows users to take a breather to replenish their health or apply buffs. However, some partners prefer to fight Malenia themselves, making things easier for the master. Now, in the generosity of one of the users, the Host delivers the final blow to Malenia.
A Reddit user who goes by the name PM_ME_CODE_SNIPPETS shared clips of their Elden Ring battle with Malenia. The player featured in the video is summoned to help another user, and it appears they fought the boss themselves. She has little health left, but the user turns and runs to the host, allowing their partner to deliver the final blow. Overlord’s Corpse Piler ability with Blood River Katana in Elden Ring easily depleted Malenia’s last remaining health.
I always make sure hosts feel covered by u/PM_ME_CODE_SNIPPETS mentioned in Eldenring Reddit poster this tactic doesn’t always work because after this fight they try to get a different host to put the final blow on Malenia, but another Players cannot do this. PM_ME_CODE_SNIPPETS claims that many users die in the process, it will be interesting to see the success and failure rates of this tactic. They also shared their build in one of the comments, confirming they are at level 100 in the Elden Ring with 50 vigor.
Some users in the comments section noted the health of the Elden Ring video, while some suggested that the moderator should have put in some effort to be rewarded at the end of the fight. One player also claimed that they fully expected the host to die in the video, but managed to hold their ground and finish Malenia without a hitch.
Elden Ring is out now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X.
