33 Immortals, a new game with an amazing 33-player co-op mode, launches on Xbox Game Pass on day one. Xbox Game Pass featured prominently at the recent Xbox Games Showcase event, with Microsoft confirming on day one that some major titles will be coming to its subscription service.
Many of the games shown at the Xbox Games Showcase launched on Xbox Game Pass on day one, ranging from heavyweights like Forza Motorsport and Starfield to smaller titles like Towerborne and Jusant. Some of the Xbox Game Pass titles shown at the Xbox Games Showcase will support the collaboration, including 33 Immortals, a new project from Spiritfarer studio Thunder Lotus Games.
Spiritfarer received critical acclaim upon release, so expectations for 33 Immortals are high. 33 Immortals, slated for launch in 2024, offers 33-player co-op and matchmaking support, allowing players to instantly team up with others and complete raids. 33 Immortals is a roguelike, so while it can be difficult, players should constantly feel like they’re making progress as they acquire upgrades, which in turn gives them a better chance of success on their next raid.
33 Immortals wasn’t the only co-op Game Pass game shown at the Xbox Games Showcase. Towerborne is another game Xbox Game Pass subscribers will want to keep an eye on. It’s a sleek new co-op fantasy battle game from Stoic Studio, the team behind the hugely popular Banner Saga game. Both Towerborne and 33 Immortals are coming to Xbox Game Pass on PC and Xbox Series X in 2024, so there shouldn’t be a shortage of co-op titles on the service next year.
2024 is going to be an absolutely big year for Xbox Game Pass. Obsidian’s long-awaited fantasy RPG Avowed is scheduled to hit Xbox Game Pass on day one next year, as is Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2. But before Xbox Game Pass subscribers get excited about the new titles coming in 2024, there are still titles added to the lineup this year that they’ll want to keep an eye on.
Notably, Starfield will launch on September 6th, while Forza Motorsport will launch on Game Pass on October 10th. These two titles should prove to be big for Xbox Game Pass and become two of the biggest Xbox console exclusive releases of the year. They’re just the tip of the iceberg, though, as many other titles will be added to the Xbox Game Pass lineup in the coming months.
