Twitch Stream Cut Short by Ceiling Collapse

Shockingly, the ceiling of a Twitch streamer’s studio suddenly collapsed, interrupting the broadcast and sending debris flying in all directions. Over the years, Twitch has become an increasingly popular platform, with content creators of all kinds attracting audiences all over the world. While the platform offers viewers plenty of content, things haven’t always been smooth sailing for the streamers themselves. For example, in January 2023, an IRL Twitch streamer crashed his bike and broke his collarbone while streaming.

Another incident happened when Twitch streamer DuckBoxing was livestreaming when suddenly a space heater behind him exploded, causing an immediate interruption of the stream. The explosion also caused a power outage throughout the house, leaving DuckBoxing and his community in the dark. Despite this sudden setback, DuckBoxing was quick to reassure fans that he was okay and resumed streaming later in the evening to show his dedication.

Recently, a Twitch streamer named Dylastein had to end his stream abruptly when a ceiling collapsed while watching a match of CS:GO, a popular multiplayer tactical first-person shooter. The collapse caused plasterboard on the ceiling to crumble, covering his bed and personal belongings. The accident must have been a harrowing experience for Dylastein and his audience watching live. Please note that the clip below contains some offensive language.

The seriousness of the situation can be heard in Dylastein’s voice as he expresses shock and disbelief during a clip of events. It is clear from the video that the collapse was sudden, unexpected and could have easily resulted in injury or worse.

After investigating the cause of the collapse, Dirastein revealed that a leak in the house’s air conditioning system was the cause of the accident. The leak caused the drywall to become water damaged, weakening it and making it prone to collapse. This is concerning considering Twitch streamer Dylastein was unknowingly exposed before the incident. He had been napping in his bed, which was directly under the damaged area, just before the stream. Fortunately, he was unharmed in the crash.

Dylastein’s ceiling collapse was a poignant reminder of the potential dangers that can arise during live broadcasts.
