Twitch Finally Unbans Soulja Boy

After a hiatus of more than 16 months, Soulja Boy can finally return to Twitch and once again engage with his fans on the leading streaming platform. A popular rapper and Twitch streamer, Soulja Boy has also been the subject of controversy, including criticizing other Twitch streamers, claiming Twitch’s popularity, and promoting his own gaming console. Still, Soulja Boy has had relative success on the platform compared to other celebrities who have tried streaming.

However, things went wrong for Soulja when he was first suspended on December 9, 2021. The reason for his initial suspension remains unknown, but it lasted just five minutes before it was lifted. His relief was short-lived, however, as he was suspended again about four hours later, and the reason for his suspension remained a mystery. This led him to air his displeasure on social media, questioning the company’s policies and threatening to sue Twitch.

However, on December 17, 2021, the rapper posted a humble update on Twitter, apologizing for his previous outburst on Twitch. He regrets his actions and apologizes to all staff and the community. He added that the decision to allow him to stream on the platform is ultimately up to Twitch, and he will wait and see. Finally, after more than a year of waiting, Twitch decided to unban him and let him go live again. Following the announcement, Soulja Boy expressed his excitement on Twitter, saying “I’m back” along with three emojis to express his emotion.

This is great news for Soulja Boy and his vast fan base who are eagerly awaiting his return to Twitch. It will also be interesting to see how he recovers his Twitch career and whether he reveals the reason for his ban. Before being suspended, Soulja Boy made headlines when he was warmly received by the Destiny community during his first Destiny Twitch stream.

Soulja Boy wasn’t the only streamer to receive good news about Twitch’s ban this month. On April 4, Twitch announced that the ban on popular female streamer Indiefoxx was lifted after a year and a half. Indiefoxx took to Twitter to express her emotions after hearing the news, saying she was crying and shaking in disbelief and gratitude. She also pledged to be more careful not to make any mistakes that could jeopardize her last chance to create content on Twitch.
