The Sims 4: Snowy Escape – How to Go Skiing and Snowboarding

The Sims 4: Snowy Escape introduces a new world full of mountain adventure and rich culture. Sims can explore frozen terrain and put their physical skills to the test by skiing or snowboarding on the slopes of Mt. Komorebi near the summit. While the two skills are separate, they are very similar, and Sims can master either or both in the same way.

Snowy mountains are great for sliding down, but they have to build their skills before doing anything too complicated. Sims with a sufficiently high skill level will also unlock new gear, social interactions, and more. As such, this guide is a one-stop shop for everything players need to know about skiing and snowboarding in The Sims 4: Snow Escape.

Build Snowboard Skills

The Sims 4 Despite their similarities, Sims must use different gear to upgrade Snowboards and Skis separately. Adult and kid sized skis and snowboards can be found in build/buy mode. Alternatively, Sims can purchase the set at a vending machine near the Cedar Ski Lift.

The Sims 4 For those looking to get a head start without the equipment, Sims can use the Bookshelf to purchase Skill Books for Snowboarding and Snowboarding. Sims who try low-level snowboarding or skiing are more likely to get injured and depressed on the slopes, so getting some reading practice isn’t a bad idea.

Visit the slopes of Mt. Komorebi

The Sims 4 The fastest way to improve your snowboarding and skiing skills is to visit Cedar’s Little Maury Mountain Ski Area. Players can take the ski lift to the top, or head to the smaller, kid-friendly Bunny Slope. Of course, hills are harder, but Sims can choose the ski/snowboard style and intensity before attempting it. Sims with Confident or Energetic moodlets are more likely to succeed on slopes.

Sims can walk down slopes at low, medium or high intensity. The higher the intensity, the more risky they run, and they lose hunger, health, and energy at a faster rate. They also have the chance to acquire negative emotions or injure themselves during unsuccessful high-intensity runs. To ski or snowboard, make sure your Sims have a set of skis or snowboards in their inventory; if they don’t own any, they can also use rented equipment. Click on the desired device and select the intensity to start the run.

The Sims 4: Snowy Escape is out now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.
