For example, a bug in The Last of Us Part 1 allowed Joel to have another child to travel with because it spawned two versions of Ellie on the same level. Now, another fan has encountered a strange bug related to ammo depletion in The Last of Us Part 1.
A Reddit user named DoctorAphra000 shared an image from The Last of Us Part 1 showing their current revolver with -1 bullets. Their other pistol had six bullets, so nothing seemed out of the ordinary in that case. In the world of The Last of Us, ammunition is rare, and many players may experience the full game without max ammo for any weapon at a given moment. However, it’s still weird that the game shows the gun with a negative bullet count.
Many users in the comments mentioned that Joel was in debt in The Last of Us Part 1, and one fan suggested that it was the effect of capitalism. Joel was standing next to a corpse in the photo, prompting one player to claim that the dead NPCs fired an extra shot for their grave. Another user mentioned that The Last of Us Part 1 updated the number of bullets to match inflation in 2023, while some players also compared how the inverted bullets work to how they work in the 2020 film Tenet Compare.
Reddit poster DoctorAphra000 mentioned that they were playing the PS5 version of The Last of Us Part 1, so it doesn’t appear to be on the list of glitches plaguing the PC version. However, this does not rule out the possibility that the BUG appears in the PC version of the game. Naughty Dog has released a number of updates to The Last of Us Part 1 for PC aimed at addressing various issues faced by the user base, including patch 1.0.3.0 which was released a few days ago.
