In The Sims 4, players can do whatever they want with their Sims’ lives. There are dozens of different occupations to explore in the game, and they all have their own activities for players to complete to improve their day-to-day job performance.
This guide will list all available classes and career branches in The Sims 4, and walk players through the daily tasks assigned to them by each class level. While this is not a mandatory part of the job, it is a successful mechanism for improving job performance more quickly.
How to check daily task progress
If Sims want to be promoted, they will want to complete daily tasks in full. Sims can ignore daily tasks and complete them partially or fully – the more effort they put into it, the greater the performance boost they get from it.
Players can view the progress of their Sims’ daily tasks by opening the “Job” tab in the lower right corner. Unlike promotion quests, completing daily quests to gain additional career levels isn’t mandatory, but they’ll definitely help Sims get there faster.

In The Sims 4, there are a variety of career types, and the more game packs a player has, the more careers to choose from. Career paths range from freelance, through optional activities, to classic part-time and full-time jobs. Players can progress through all of these paths, and even choose different branches when they reach a certain point in their career.
