Rumor: Call of Duty Could Be Adding Two Popular Streamers to Warzone 2, MW2

According to recent rumors surrounding the popular Call of Duty game, two popular streamers could be showing both Warzone 2 and Modern Warfrare 2, making a player who’s well-known in the Call of Duty community an official operator. With many popular streamers becoming playable characters in the games they’re known for streaming, both Call of Duty : Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2 seem set to jump on the bandwagon.

It’s no secret that the Call of Duty series has grown into one of the most successful franchises in gaming, and new franchises are attracting new audiences as well as established fans. With its near-countless franchise installments, the Call of Duty game is now one of the most famous first-person shooters around. Both Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2 are two of the most popular entries in the series right now, and both games have a lot of popular faces in their communities that guarantee they’ll get like Ninja and his feature in Fortnite treatment. While Call of Duty content creators may not be as well-known as streamers like Ninja, some still deserve a spot in the game if new rumors are to be believed.

A recent tweet by Task Force Leaks Images revealed some potential Operators for the new season of Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2. With the recently announced addition of Kevin Durant to Call of Duty, streamers TimTheTatMan and NICKMERCS may also find themselves already selected as game operators.

TimTheTatMan is at the forefront of streaming the first Warzone game, while NICKMERCS started his streaming career with various Call of Duty games, but now has a professional role in Apex Legends. Both have left their mark on Call of Duty players, so it only made sense to have them serve as operators in the game for other players to appreciate.

Despite a source leaking this information, it’s still a rumor and until Activision makes an official statement on the matter, it should be taken with a grain of salt. It will be very exciting to see gamers who have become well-known names in the Call of Duty fanbase become real faces in the game, but only time will tell. Before there is an official statement, it can only be wishful thinking, and players can only wait and see to see if the rumor has substantive significance.

Call of Duty: Warzone 2 is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
