Resident Evil 4 remake isn’t just about infected villagers, as the game also features vicious werewolves, but there’s a trick for those who don’t want to deal with the four-legged beast in Chapter 3. Given the type of recent and upcoming releases, now is an exciting time to be a fan of horror games. From modern take on iconic titles to brand new releases from more indie studios, horror games are all the rage right now.
Capcom’s recent reimagining is no exception, and while it retains elements that made the 2005 original such a hit, the Resident Evil 4 remake brings some changes. Whether it’s removing some padding for a smoother experience or redesigning some enemies, it’s enough to give the new RE4 a fresh feel without disrupting the iconic elements of the OG game. One thing that got a facelift was the wolf, which looks much more ferocious now.
However, for those who don’t want to accept them, especially in Resident Evil 4’s third chapter, there is a way to stop werewolves from spawning. As spotted by The Gamer, Reddit user kylespelledcaio posted a short clip of their game showing the trick in action. Essentially, just before Leon returns to the village, he can be seen shooting Ganardo who is standing on a pile of rocks on the trail. The player proceeds as usual, approaching said village, then triggers the tower to explode as usual. At this point, a pack of Plagas-infested wolves should spawn and start attacking. However, footage showed they were nowhere to be found.
Until you kill this guy when you get back to the village in chapter 3, the wolves won’t spawn after the tower explodes by u/kylespelledcaio in residentevil Killing this enemy on the way to the village seems trivial, but it seems to be what keeps the wolves from showing up . However, as others in the thread have pointed out, this particular Ganado doesn’t stick around for very long, so players have little time to finish him off. So it’s entirely possible that this Ganado was responsible for putting the wolf pack on Leon. There are a variety of tricks that can be used in Resident Evil 4, including ones that make boss fights easier, and it will be interesting to see what other methods fans can use in the remake to make combat easier.
Resident Evil 4 sold millions of copies within its first two days of release. It’s become one of the most-watched games of 2023 so far, and it’s not hard to see why. Giving something as beloved as 2005’s RE4 new life into its success has been quite the challenge, but Capcom seems to have knocked it out.
Resident Evil 4 is out now on PC, PS4, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
