There are many ways to master the game, and today players can earn trophies across the PlayStation ecosystem and achievements on PC and Xbox. Capcom’s Resident Evil 4 remake is no exception, requiring players to complete certain feats in order to gain approval to play the game in a certain way.
While there are difficulty-related feats, others involve accomplishing certain things in the game within certain constraints. Hope you enjoy the exciting rides! Trophies and achievements fall into the latter category, and this guide will help players understand how to complete the minecart journey in Resident Evil 4 without taking damage.
How to complete minecart tour without taking damage in Resident Evil 4 Remake
After the player defeats the double Gigante boss with Luis, a specific section will appear. After the boss fight, push Louis over the wall to open the locked gate and continue down the path. Eventually, players will reach the minecart area, and Leon wisely shares some concerns about this mode of transportation.
The overall goal is to complete the two separate parts of the minecart without taking any damage. This could be from enemy attacks or environmental damage, and the health bar shown in the lower right corner will indicate if any damage has been taken. If this happens, just reload the latest autosave to start trying again.
For starters, the first part is relatively easy. When the minecart starts moving and turns left or right, the player will have to lean in the same direction as the track turns to help it stay on the track. So if it’s a right turn, lean right and vice versa.
Between these sections, enemies will also ride up with flaming crossbows, so use the provided Red9 pistol and infinite ammo to take them out. Accurate aiming of the pistol will help a lot, so keep aiming for about a second to focus. Be sure to destroy any barricades and explosive kegs in your path, and shoot the yellow targets to change course.
After the first part ends at the Stopover building, jump on the next minecart for the second half of the challenge. This time, more armed villagers and chainsaw villagers bring more danger.
Make good use of infinite ammo to crush enemies before they even have time to fire, and when you hear the sound of the chainsaw turning, fire a few bursts at adjacent chainsaw villagers to stun their heads and stop attacking.
Do one thing at a time and know that you can give your full attention to the shot or the lean instead of both. Watch out for obstacles and even villagers blowing themselves up on the track, and it should be a smooth ride until the very end for that elusive trophy and achievement.
Resident Evil 4 (2023) is available on PC, PS4, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
