Pokemon GO announces the return of Regidrago’s Elite Raids to players worldwide. April has been a busy month for Pokemon GO, with Niantic revealing quite a bit of new content. With the latest news, the studio details the long-awaited compensation event.
While announcing Pokemon GO Season 10, Niantic also confirmed Regidrago’s debut in Pokemon GO via Elite Raids. In this challenging Raid Battles variant, players can battle and capture dragon-like legends to recruit powerful Pokmon. What happened in practice, however, was an event full of glitches and issues that prevented some players from participating in the aforementioned elite raids. Pokemon GO players are frustrated, with many criticizing Niantic and demanding compensation.
Niantic has announced that it will be bringing back Regidrago’s Elite Raids, with information on when players will be able to face one of Pokemon’s legendary titans again, or for the first time. Regidrago’s Elite Raids will take place on May 13 at 11:00AM, 2:00PM and 5:00PM. local time. In addition to the Elite Raids, Pokemon GO will also offer two exclusive timed studies between 11:00AM and 6:00PM. Local time, also on May 13. Players who complete the quest will receive Regirock Candy, Regice Candy, and Registeel Candy for powering up those Pokemon.
Regidrago Elite Raids will also offer compensation gifts to players in the GMT+13 time zone, who experienced the biggest problems in March. The bundle will be available on the in-game store from 11:00AM to 6:00PM on May 12th. On May 13th, 3 Premium Battle Passes and 2 Silver Pineapple Berries will be included. Importantly, Niantic emphasized that in this new version of Regidrago Elite Raids, players will not be able to use Remote Raid Passes. In late March, Niantic sparked controversy by announcing changes to Pokemon GO’s Remote Raids, causing some players to quit Pokemon GO.
The return of Regidrago Elite Raids is a great opportunity for Pokemon GO players affected for the first time, and for those who have participated before, to try their luck again. However, the Pokemon GO community wasn’t too enthusiastic about the announcement. Some players even revealed that issues with Regidrago Raids made them decide not to play Elite Raids in Regieleki’s Pokemon GO debut. For players planning to participate in the new round of events, they hope that all the best for Pokemon GO this time around.
