Avengers: The Kang Dynasty may be one of the most anticipated superhero movies of all time. While the film has been out for a few years, American Chavez actress Xochitl Gomez is excited about her potential role in the next Avengers film.
Avengers: The Kang Dynasty is the first of two Avengers movies to hit theaters in over a year. The follow-up film Avengers: Secret Wars will be released less than a year after Kang Dynasty. Avengers: The Kang Dynasty will see Jonathan Majors’ Kang formulate plans he doesn’t yet know about. The Avengers will of course be there to stop him, but it’s going to be a struggle. Kang is probably more of a threat than Thanos, so every Avenger needs to get involved to help take him down.
Gomez, who plays America Chavez, spoke to Deadline about where she wants to see America go in Avengers: The Kang Dynasty. “Not that I was in that movie, but if I was in that movie, I don’t know.” Gomez said. ‘I want to see a very strong America [Chavez]. I mean, I want to see. Apparently, in Doctor Strange [the multiverse of madness], she doesn’t know what she’s doing. She’s scared, she’s running away, and she really doesn’t know how to use her powers. And I think, hopefully, she’s had some — a little bit of training. So I want to see a safer America. ”
It’s no surprise that Gomez was coy about the possibility of her character’s return in Avengers : Dynasty Kang. Few official details about the project have been revealed, although screenwriter Jeff Loveness hinted that audiences will see Namor Tenoch Huerta’s Namor in Avengers : The Kang Dynasty. While some of Gomez’s co-stars (like Tom Holland) are known for accidentally revealing spoilers, Gomez has been careful not to reveal too much about the future of the MCU so far.
There’s no doubt that the character will be an asset in the multiverse campaign against Kang. The MCU’s multiverse has had an impact on this phase of the franchise, with the adventure even being dubbed a “multiverse saga.” Avengers: Kang is likely to see the climax of this storyline while America’s powers are moving towards multiverse travel, making her someone the Avengers may soon need to rely on.
The hypothetical presence of the United States in Avengers: The Kang Dynasty also has the potential to establish future Young Avengers projects. Although “Ant-Man and the Wasp” producer Stephen Broussard has stated that there are no plans for a “Young Avengers” project, he did admit that the MCU is trying to create new, younger characters like America. Prepare for its future. Fans also noticed several young Avengers appearing in the MCU, leading to speculation that the project could go live soon.
Avengers: The Kang Dynasty is scheduled for release in theaters on May 2, 2025.
