New Hogwarts Legacy DLC is Coming This Week Via Twitch Drops

Hogwarts Legacy is getting an all-new look DLC this week, just in time for the game’s launch on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Hogwarts Legacy hasn’t announced any plans to release story DLC or expansion packs, but it has released new cosmetics for Hogwarts students to add to their wardrobes.

The Merlin Cloak is a relatively rare Hogwarts Legacy DLC decoration. Merlin’s Cloak was initially only available to Hogwarts Legacy players who listened to select Twitch streams around the game’s launch, but Avalanche Software will be bringing back the new stream on May 5th. This new livestream coincides with Hogwarts Legacy on PS4 and Xbox One, and if fans of the game missed Merlin’s cloak the first time around, they’ll have another chance to get it. However, Merlin’s Cloak isn’t the only cosmetic DLC that Hogwarts Legacy players can claim to own this week.

Hogwarts Legacy players willing to watch the game live on Twitch can get a new set of cosmetics inspired by the charismatic Professor Ronen. Hogwarts Legacy players can kill two birds with one stone by watching the same Legacy Live stream at 9AM PT, which they must watch to earn Merlin’s Cloak, but the Charms Professor item can also be obtained by watching a specific Twitch stream and enabling Twitch Drops to get. These Hogwarts Legacy Twitch drops will be available from May 5th to June 1st. Each reward is earned through 30 minutes of viewing time. Since there are six pieces in the bundle, fans must watch three hours of the eligible Twitch stream to claim their prize. It’s worth mentioning that Twitch Drops can be claimed even if you don’t actually own the game yet, so those planning to play the game on Nintendo Switch this summer might still want to tune in.

Over the course of the Hogwarts Legacy story, players can interact with Professor Ronen several times. Professor Ronen is responsible for teaching players some of the more basic spells in Hogwarts Legacy, which are then put to good use in combat and puzzle solving. Professor Ronen is also the one who teaches players how to play the Summoner’s Court minigame.

Summoner’s Court is a minigame in Hogwarts Legacy that requires the player to use the Accio spell. With Accio, players pull the ball across a large board with the goal of getting the ball as far as possible without falling. Players can face off against a range of different opponents in Summoner’s Court, and defeating all of them is necessary for those players who want to complete Hogwarts Legacy 100%. Those who manage to get the Professor of Charm DLC item will be able to dress up as the Professor who originally taught them how to play and play in the Summoner’s Court, which can be a fun pastime.

Hogwarts Legacy is out now for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X, with PS4 and Xbox One versions coming May 5, and a Nintendo Switch port coming July 25.
