Dimension 20 has just released the trailer for the latest season of the hit Dungeons & Dragons series. Along with notable guests from Overwatch and Key Role, the upcoming season’s star-studded cast promises to be one of the most exciting and gritty Dungeons & Dragons campaigns to date.
Neverafter, season 16 of the Grimm-themed 20th Dimension recently concluded its final episode. Shortly before that, Dimension 20 teased that Matt Mercer would be a guest DM for the next season, which kicks off in May.
Now, Dimension 20 has revealed that Mercer’s upcoming campaign is titled The Ravening War. A prequel to Candy Crown – the brutal 20th Dimension Season 6 inspired by Game of Thrones and Candy Land – the Raven Wars will take place twenty years before the original campaign. Taking place during the continent-wide war of the same name that ravaged the land, Raid Wars promises to explore a pivotal moment in the history of the food-based land of Caroline.
And if that wasn’t exciting enough, this season of Dimension 20 features a talented cast of voice actors, comedians, and tabletop cosplayers. The cast of Plunder War is as follows :
Matt Mercer, the voice of Cassidy in Overwatch, plays the dungeon master. Anjali Bhimani, voice of Symmetra in Overwatch, as Lady Amangeaux Epice du Peche. Aabria Iyengar, TTRPG legend and recurring key character and Dimension 20 guest, as Karna Solara. Brennan Lee Mulligan, Dimension 20’s career DM, plays Bishop Raphaniel Charlock. Dimension 20 veterans Lou Wilson and Zac Oyama star as Thane Delissandro Katzon and Colin Provolone, respectively. Ravening War looks like a true mashup between two of the most popular Dungeons & Dragons actual games. Mercer, Mulligan, Iyengar and Wilson all appear in key roles and in Dimension 20. Bhimani is new to Dimension 20, but has appeared in several key role specials and The Legend of Vox Machina. Considering how popular Mulligan was when he first appeared in Critical Role in Exandria Unlimited: Calamity, fans had high hopes for The Ravening War.
While Mercer is a well-known voice actor, he seems to be more prolific than usual lately. He has recently been identified as Ganondorf in The Legend of Zelda : Tear of the Kingdom, Fyrakk in the original incarnation in World of Warcraft : Legion of the Dragon, and Minsk in Baldur’s Gate 3, among others. With Mercer’s Dimension 20 Dungeons and Dragons event starting May 10, fans will soon have even more places to enjoy his creations.
