New Diablo 4 Merch Hints at Unexpected Sixth Class

Diablo 4 has just released a new item that may herald a sixth class in the future. If this lead is correct, Diablo 4’s sixth career could be an unexpected addition to the series’ cast.

The Blizzard Gear Store recently added a Diablo 4-themed beer mug to the site for pre-order. This stylish collectible features icons from the Sanctuary, including logos and images of Lilith and Inarius – two of the main characters from Diablo 4.

However, when YouTube content creator and Diablo fan Dark LORE Dash took a closer look at the beer mug, he noticed something strange. This collectible beer mug features six symbols on the rim of the lid. Five of these symbols match currently playable classes in Diablo 4. The sixth symbol represents the Trinity – the cult formerly dedicated to primordial evil, now responsible for the return of Lilith. This could be a clue that there might be a Trinity-themed sixth class in the future, such as a Warlock or Death Knight.

There’s been a lot of speculation that the Paladin or Templar class from past games will show up in Diablo 4 later on. The current playable class in Diablo 4 lacks heavy armor options, nor does it have a holy mage. While a paladin or templar would satisfy both archetypes, a death knight or hellknight would be an unexpected addition that would fill out the armor archetype, introduce a primitive class, and fit better into the darker tones of Diablo 4 .

The hints found on the new stein are by no means a confirmation that such classes will appear in Diablo 4 in the future. There hasn’t been any official confirmation yet, and likely won’t be for some time after the game’s release. However, the placement of the Holy Trinity symbol is questionable when paired with other classes, as Dash explained, Diablo 4 has hidden secrets in merchandise in the past, such as the Church of Light revealed in the emblem series before Diablo 4 symbol.

Many players were intrigued by the concept of the evil knight in Diablo 4. Paladins and Templars are among the most popular classes in Diablo history, so a dark take on the archetype would be exciting. Many have speculated about what caused these characters to turn against Lilith and the forces of hell. Until the sixth class is officially revealed in Diablo 4, players will have to continue to speculate about what powers might be unleashed in the upcoming games.

Diablo 4 launches June 6 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
