Lucky Stardew Vally Fan Makes Absolutely Incredible Find at Goodwill

One very lucky Stardew Valley fan has made an incredible find by finding the official board game at Goodwill for just $4.99. Stardew Valley is a life simulation game widely regarded as one of the absolute best games of its kind. Stardew Valley has enjoyed enduring popularity since its initial release, inspired many imitators, and is still played regularly by many fans today.

Part of the reason for Stardew Valley’s incredible longevity is the sheer amount of content in the game combined with numerous updates addressing technical issues and adding entirely new content to the game. In fact, even after developer ConcernedApe turned its attention to a new game, Haunted Chocolatier, a new Stardew Valley update is in the works.

The incredible success of Stardew Valley saw a plethora of merchandise released in honor of the game, including Stardew Valley: The Board Game. The Stardew Valley board game is a cooperative board game that many would agree successfully translates the video game experience into tabletop space. Unfortunately, the Stardew Valley board game seems to be in limited supply, as it frequently sells out and is currently being sold online for absurd prices second-hand. It’s not uncommon to see it listed for $150+. That’s why Reddit users’ genetic memories of honey kindness are so incredible. Picking up the Stardew Valley board game for $4.99 is a huge bargain, since it usually sells for 30 times the price.

Since Goodwill is a thrift store, board games are always at risk of missing parts or being damaged in some way. However, a Reddit user said it contained all parts. Not only that, but they were technically able to buy it for less than the list price of $4.99 because they signed up for the company’s rewards program. They’ve spotted the Stardew Valley board game in the toy section at Goodwill, so thrifty shoppers might want to keep an eye out.

This is far from the only incredible game find on the Goodwill store. Not long ago, a Nintendo gamer purchased a copy of Super Smash Bros. Brawl for the Wii from Goodwill. When they opened the case, they found two other games hidden inside, namely New Super Mario Bros. Wii and Super Mario Galaxy.
