Latest Call of Duty Update Nerfs Fan Favorite Rifles

The latest Call of Duty : Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 update brings some nerfs to some fan-favorite rifles that will reduce their viability in the competitive environment. Call of Duty players have been busy with all the new content that the new season brings, and many players are still looking to unlock all the tiers in the latest battle pass, but what they don’t consider is that two of the newest rifles get a lot more this time around nerfs.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 Season 3 Reloaded brought a ton of content to both games, and since their release on May 10, thousands of players have been unlocking new battle passes, testing new weapons, trying New operators and complete new challenges added in the major update. Call of Duty’s new season brings more than a few weapons, as developers add new game modes, maps, and balance changes that mix up the game’s current meta and force competitive players to alter their gear and test new options. Unfortunately for assault rifle and battle rifle fans, the game’s developers decided to make some changes to two fan-favorite rifles.

On May 31, the official Infinity Ward Twitter account shared the official patch notes for the new Call of Duty : Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 update. According to the update patch notes, ISO Hemlock and Cronen Squall have made some balance changes in terms of damage output, rate of fire, and recoil. With this update, the ISO Hemlock deals less damage to armor, the Cronen Squall has reduced headshot multiplier and damage, as well as increased recoil and reduced fire rate for semi-autos. This isn’t the first time the developer has nerfed the ISO Hemlock, and it likely won’t be the last, as many players are still using the Assault Rifle as their first choice in most game modes.

The rest of the patch notes list a number of UI/UX fixes and some Call of Duty : Warzone 2 bug fixes. Unfortunately, the Call of Duty developers have not yet resolved the current connection issues many players are facing in Call of Duty : Modern Warfare 2, so gamers will have to wait for the game developers to implement a solution and resolve the issue.

The developers of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 are still sitting on the sidelines, but that hasn’t stopped gamers from talking about a new Call of Duty game coming in 2023. Many gamers are still unhappy with the current state of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2, but the game developers are still working hard to implement fixes and add more content to the game.
