A laggy match in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 resulted in an impressive killstreak by a player. While Modern Warfare 2 has some notable changes from 2019’s Modern Warfare, such as a reworked perk system where users can earn better perks as the match progresses, it still follows the same Call of Duty formula.
Since its release in 2022, many players have shared videos of their impressive Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer accomplishments, such as long-range kills from incredible distances. Other impressive clips can be attributed to pure good luck, as a Modern Warfare 2 player managed to kill three opponents with a single bullet, and all three users decided to gather in the same place. Now, another Call of Duty player went on an impressive killing spree, but they got a ton of help from perhaps the most unlikely of sources.
A Reddit user named t3chnik40k shared a clip from a Call of Duty : Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer match, showing how lag and server issues helped them go on an incredible killing spree. Right from the start, players can watch their opponents fall behind in the match, allowing t3chnik40k to score the kill by shooting or using melee attacks. The entire game appears to be played in slow motion, giving t3chnik40k plenty of time to point his gun at an oncoming opponent and score the kill.
In an example later in the video, a sniper rifle also appears to be suspended in mid-air, showing the full extent of the connection issue affecting gamers. The player manages to get a quadruple kill before the video stops, allowing them to use the drone and the care package killstreak in Modern Warfare 2.
Many users in the comments section compared t3chnik40k to Neo from The Matrix, with one player citing a famous quote from the movie. Some players also compared it to games like Superhot and Max Payne, while some users claimed that the video reminded them of the Doom series.
Many players noticed that animations run in slow motion, specifically mentioning how t3chnik40k grabs a sniper rifle. Aside from the amusing claims, some players have also taken the opportunity to complain about lag in Call of Duty games, with one claiming to be disconnected twice in a row in Call of Duty : Warzone 2’s DMZ game mode.
Call of Duty : Modern Warfare 2 is out now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X.
