Horizon Forbidden West Seyka Actor Explains Her Character’s Hairstyle

Kylie Liya Page reveals why her character Seyka wears a high ponytail in Horizon. Burning Shore. This DLC for Horizon Forbidden West continues Aloy’s adventures as she travels to Los Angeles’ volcanic archipelago to stop an evil menace, battling new machines along the way.

The release of Horizon Forbidden West: Burning Shores introduced the character of Seyka, a Kon warrior Aloy encounters at the beginning of this DLC. Seyka was part of an expedition sent to San Francisco, but ended up stranded on the Burning Shores. There she meets Aloy, and the two quickly bond, sharing similar combat prowess and feelings of being abandoned by the tribe. Aloy and Seyka grow closer during their Battle Machine adventures, with Seyka playing a major role in the character development of the protagonists of the Horizon series.

In a video recently posted on the official Horizon subreddit, Seyka actor Kylie Liya Page reveals why her character wears a high ponytail. When Guerrilla Games asked Kylie Liya Page about her usual hairstyle in preparation for a facial scan, the actor said she always wears a very high ponytail. The studio decided to give Seyka the same hairstyle as her cast members, giving the Kun warrior in Horizon Forbidden West : the Burning Shore a sophisticated high ponytail.

Some players shared their favorite moments between Aloy and Seyka, especially how the Quen fighter managed to keep up with Aloy, sometimes even stealing the spotlight. Since Guerrilla Games confirmed that Aloy’s adventures will continue soon in a new entry in the Horizon series, most people expected Seyka to return in Horizon 3. Others reacted to Kylie Liya Page’s disbelief at seeing herself in a video game, saying it might feel weird to see a character with her own facial features.

Whether Seyka will return in the sequel to Horizon’s Forbidden West remains a mystery, but considering her important role in Aloy’s personal story, it wouldn’t be surprising to see the Quen warrior return in Horizon 3. The Horizon series has often seen supporting characters appear across multiple games, such as Varl and Sylens played by the late Lance Reddick. Fans will have to wait a little longer to find out if Aloy and Seyka will reunite in Horizon 3, as Guerrilla Games’ next project is a Horizon multiplayer spinoff.

Horizon Forbidden West: Burning Shores is available on PS5.
