A new Genshin Impact leak reveals more information about the new characters that will be coming in the upcoming 3.7 release. HoYoverse is constantly updating the game’s pool of playable characters, with Dehya and Mika being the latest additions in the last update.
The recent Genshin Impact 3.6 special planning event has confirmed that the second banner cycle of the ongoing update will introduce two new Dendro characters, Baizhu and Kaveh. It’s not uncommon for characters to appear as NPCs months before being added to the playable list.
A new post on the Genshin Impact Leaks subreddit reveals more details about possible new characters coming in the 3.7 questline. According to the post, the character’s name is Charlotte, and she’ll be playing a major role in the coming months. She was one of 10 Genshin Impact characters that leaked a few months ago, leading many players to believe that Charlotte might be the first playable unit in Hydro Nation. The name Charlotte may just be a placeholder, her real name will be revealed closer to the release of Update 3.7.
Players seem excited to meet a new Fontaine character, especially considering the game has confirmed that the only new character in Genshin Impact 3.7 will be Dendro user Kirara. Some reviews have pointed out that since Mica belongs to the Lightning region, it’s unlikely the two characters will interact in the main storyline. However, the fact that she works for a popular delivery service in Electronic Nation could mean she travels around the world in Teyvat.
Some fans think the upcoming two updates could contain a lot of filler content, as HoYoverse is gearing up for 4.0, which will finally introduce the long-awaited Fontaine region. Reliable leakers have revealed that it will be located to the north of the two recently added Sumeru expansions and to the west of the Liyue nation.
A few weeks ago, some Genshin Impact players noticed an interesting detail in the artifact description, which mentioned that the Geo region had another port besides Liyue Harbour. Many fans hope that this port is located in the western part of the area, as a link between Fontaine and Liyue. After all, Fontaine is known as the land of hydropower, which means it’s probably full of lakes, rivers, and waterfalls.
