Genshin Impact Chart Shows Updated 4-star Waiting List for Version 3.6

Genshin Impact chart showing the 4-star waitlist for Phase 2 of the ongoing 3.6 update. Each flag cycle in the game has one or two five-star characters and three four-star characters. Four-star units are usually much weaker, but this power difference is made up for by the fact that players can upgrade their constellations more easily thanks to the 10-Wish Mercy system.

This means Genshin Impact players are guaranteed to be one of the featured 4-star units within 10 wishes. By comparison, players can grant up to 80 or 90 wishes before getting a five-star character, and there’s a 50% chance that a unit from the standard banner will appear, which now includes a new character, Pyro user Dehya.

A Reddit user named RapidFresh revealed a chart that ranks the game’s four-star characters based on the number of consecutive updates that don’t appear on the banner. At the top of the list of 8 missed banners is popular Cryo-claymore user Chongyun. Despite his young age, Chongyun is a famous Liyue exorcist who plays an important role in the official storyline of Jio Kingdom. He’s known as a decent side DPS or support role, especially for teams that need the Cryo element applied. Chongyun is also part of the national team lineup, which is probably the most popular team type in the game because it has four free friendly characters.

Another member of the party, Xiang Ling, ranks second on the list with 5 unrenewed results. Xiangling is widely regarded as the best off-the-field Pyro character in Genshin Impact, thanks to her elemental burst, Pyronado, which can deal a ton of damage even when she’s swapped out. She’s a must-have for most team compositions that rely on triggering Pyro elemental reactions.

The third place on the list is shared by Noelle, Razor, Thomas and Yiyu, all of whom have failed to update four times in a row. While Noelle is most commonly used as a shield, she can also take on the role of a primary DPS if the player manages to get her last Constellation level, which turns Noelle into a self-sustaining damage powerhouse.

Razor is considered by many to be the best four-star DPS character in Genshin Impact, thanks to a simple kit that is easy to execute and build. Shikanoin Heizou is also a 4-star DPS, and despite being an Anemo Catalyst user, he prefers melee combat and thus has one of the best combat animations in the game.

Genshin Impact is available now for PC, PS4, PS5 and mobile. A Switch version is in development.
