With a massive roster of 35 playable characters, Fire Emblem Engage might confuse some fans as to exactly what to give their favorite characters after they’ve been recruited. While it might be easy to figure out what a person likes and dislikes, it can be much harder to figure out what gifts they like and hate the most.
Since growing friendships is key to unlocking Bonds and certain Pact Ring endings in Fire Emblem Engage, it’s especially important to focus on getting the right items to the right people. Therefore, this guide will focus on which items to give each character and which ones to avoid.
where to get gifts
While players unlock gift options early in the game – after reaching Somniel after Chapter 4 – they will find themselves with very limited gifts until around Chapter 12. Chapter 12 is when Timerra will join the player party – once she joins, she can be found at Somniel who runs the flea market. When it comes to shopping for gifts, the flea market is probably the best place in Fire Emblem Engage, as most of its inventory is made up of gifts.
However, before being able to enter the flea market, players can find three gifts around the Somniel: Spirit Gem, Horse Manure, and Pretty Pebbles. These three are a great introduction to the gift mechanic, as they’re each suited to specific characters – every character likes spirit gems, every character likes nice cobblestones, every character doesn’t like horse manure , if the player chooses to give this special “gift” to someone.
Preferred Gift List
Each character in Fire Emblem Engage has their own preferences in what they like and dislike about the gifts they receive. While some can be pretty obvious depending on the personality or even where the character is coming from, some are less so, and while giving gifts you don’t like isn’t the end of the world, it can be frustrating to waste a gift on someone who doesn’t seem to like it for sure. it.
