The Excavator Power Armor, also known as the EXC-17, is a mining suit made by the Garrahan Mining Corporation in Fallout 76. It is a radiation-resistant power armor designed to protect miners working in toxic environments. The prototype also protects the wearer from physical and electrical harm. Statistically, the Excavator has 400 Radiation Resistance, 286 Physical Damage Reduction, and 260 Electricity Damage Reduction.
It may not be the most powerful power armor, but the excavator has a unique utility : The ore mined by this armor is quadrupled. Users get 4 ores for every ore they mine. But there is also a disappointment. The Excavator Power Armor is a prototype, which means players can only craft it. It might not be possible to find a pre-crafted version of it in Appalachia, but there are other ways to get the Excavator Power Armor in Fallout 76.
How to Get Excavator Power Armor in Fallout 76
To obtain the Excavator Power Armor, the player needs to steal its blueprints from the Garrahan Mining Corporation. This can be done through the Miner Wonder quest or directly by interacting with the project manager terminal at the company headquarters. Once they have the blueprints, they can craft the Excavator at the Power Armor Station.
How to Complete the Miner’s Wonder Quest in Fallout 76
There is a quest poster at the entrance of Garrahan Mining, players can read this poster to get the Miner Miracles side quest. This short quest asks players to search the headquarters and rewards them with plans for the excavator.
Steal blueprints from the Garrahan Mining Company docks
Can skip the Miracle Miner quest and get the Excavator blueprint directly. To do this, the player must kill Garrahan Mining Corporation’s thugs, enter the mine through a tunnel in the basement, and interact with the project manager’s terminal next to the office.
How to Craft Excavator Power Armor in Fallout 76
To craft Excavator Power Armor, a Fallout 76 player should place an empty chassis on a Power Armor Station and add all six Excavator parts. The entire set requires 36 Black Titanium, 6 Nucleus, 12 Glass, 26 Rubber, 60 Screws, 60 Springs, 38 Oil, and 30 Gears.
Players will be able to farm the materials needed for Excavator Power Armor by killing Mole Miner Excavators. They drop all necessary ingredients, such as black titanium.
Where to Find Excavator Mods in Fallout 76
While Excavator mods spawn in random locations in Appalachia, visiting the Responder vendor is the best way to get them. Responder, the supplier robot at Whitespring Resort, and Chad, the supplier robot at the amusement park, sell all excavator conversions at a reasonable price.
Fallout 76 is available now for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.
