An Elden Ring player shared a clip of how they destroyed Malenia using a unique boss weapon. Malenia may be the hardest boss in Elden Ring, but players don’t need to defeat her to complete the main story, as she can only be found in optional areas later in the game.
Since launch, many Elden Ring players have shared tactics and unique strategies for defeating Malenia, with some fans being able to accomplish the feat at level 1. For example, an Elden Ring fan used Mogot’s Cursed Sword to completely destroy Melania as they managed to defeat her within 60 seconds. Now, another player has uploaded a similar video of them beating Malenia with a different weapon.
A Reddit user named dvamg shared a clip of their game showing how they beat Malenia using Mohgwyn’s holy spear. In addition to Burn O Flame, players use several buffs before starting the battle! Spells in the Elden Ring. Dvamg then uses Mohgwyn’s Holy Lance’s Bloodboon Ritual unique weapon ability, dealing massive damage to Malenia before hitting her with a fatal blow.
The second phase of the fight isn’t much different, as players use the same abilities to empower themselves and hit Malenia with the Bloodboon Ritual skill. Ultimately, the player can easily end the fight by hitting Malenia with a simple thrust from Mogwynn’s Holy Spear. The Holy Spear of Mohgwyn is a unique weapon in the Elden Ring that players can obtain by killing Mohg at the Mohgwyn Palace in Roundtable Hold to obtain the Blood Lord’s Remembrance.
Many Elden Ring fans in the comments praised the player for using the tactic successfully, but some users were surprised to see how much damage Mohgwyn’s Holy Spear did to Malenia. It looks like the Reddit poster could have killed Malenia sooner, since they claimed to be too lazy to buff themselves properly during the fight.
Bandai Namco recently revealed the five hardest bosses in Elden Ring, confirming that players have attempted to defeat Malenia 329 million times. Margit came in second with 281 million attempts and Limgrave’s Tree Sentinel with 277 million attempts. Despite the tough fights, it looks like many players have found unique and fun ways to defeat Malenia in the Elden Ring.
