The Lightfall DLC has landed in Destiny 2 and brings a new element, the Strand. Guardians not only get a whole new subclass, but also a new set of Strand weapons, such as the Perpetualis Auto Rifle.
However, some players need clarification on how to properly acquire this unique new weapon. This guide will help Destiny 2 players find and earn the Perpetualis Auto Rifle to determine its God Roll.

How to Get the Perpetualis Automatic Rifle
The short and sweet answer is that the Perpetualis Auto Rifle can only be obtained from the Season of Defiance event. Specifically, players will need to jump into the Defiant Battlegrounds event located in Helm to have a chance at getting the gun. Completing the challenge battleground will reward Guardians with a new seasonal weapon or armor, so there’s little chance they’ll get the gun on their first run.
That said, weapons eventually drop after a few runs, because the more Guardians complete, the more likely they are to gain loot that they didn’t have before. After getting the gun at least once, players can go back to Helm, and then they can use Defiant Engrams to focus on weapons through the War Table. Challenge engrams are obtained by completing challenge battlegrounds. Focusing on guns will allow players to finally secure the guns they want to roll.
What is the scroll of Perpetualis?
What really helps Perpetualis the most is the excellent skill pool it offers for both PvE and PvP activities. Regardless of the situation, this weapon is always a solid choice, even in endgame activities like raids or competitive PvP.
For PvE, what God Roll players should look for are Zen Moment and Hatchling. Zen Moment increases gun stability the longer the trigger is held down, while Hatchling creates Threadlings after a guaranteed kill (there is a cooldown between each Threadling spawn). This combo is great for Strand Warlock builds as they focus on creating Threadlings, and with the proper setup, they can make almost unlimited number of Threadlings at will.

For PvP, Zen Moment and Target Lock are undoubtedly the best options. Target Lock increases the weapon’s damage the longer it stays on an enemy, Zen Moment increases the stability of the gun, and Perpetualis essentially turns into a laser beam. Unfortunately, the Perpetualis is a great option to use in PvP, although it can’t beat its Immortal brethren in close combat at mid to long range.
As far as barrels, magazines, and Masterwork go, anything that increases the range of a weapon is a good choice, as a range increase always helps regardless of activity. So your best bet is an arrow stop for the barrel, precision ammo for the magazine and a masterpiece of range.
