Creepy Resident Evil 4 Remake Mod Replaces Ashley With Regenerador

A Resident Evil 4 Remake player has made a creepy mod that replaces Ashley with a Regenerador. Since the release of the remake in March, many players have shown off various mods that change the appearance of Resident Evil 4 characters. This one in particular might just scare the player.

Resident Evil 4 takes place in the Spanish countryside, and Agent Leon Kennedy is tasked with rescuing the President of the United States’ daughter, Ashley Graham, from a cult. Throughout the game, Leon must battle infected villagers and bosses while keeping Ashley safe. One of these is the iconic off-white counterpart known as the Regenerator.

Regeneradors (or Regeneradores) are experimental biological weapons that are nearly indestructible. The only way to kill them is to use a biosensor scope to find and shoot the parasites inside them. Otherwise, they’d be chasing Leon without a leg, much to the horror of many players. Even scarier, a player on Nexus Mods named zhoujihao made a mod that replaces Ashley’s character model with a Regenerador, and the screenshots they uploaded look disturbing.

Many players find this mod both amusing and scary. Meanwhile, others have suggested that there should also be a mod that turns Leon into a Regenerador.

Despite the creepy appearance, players with this mod will still need to protect Ashley, even in Regenerador form. Capcom managed to improve Ashley’s gameplay and autonomy to give Resident Evil 4 players a better experience while protecting the President’s daughter. Many players and game content creators have stated that the new Ashley is better than the original, but also pointed out that she should also be able to help Leon in battle.

Overall, Resident Evil 4 Remake has been well received by players and critics alike for its next-gen graphics and improved quality of gameplay experience. The game may have been bombarded with reviews, but it’s still doing well in terms of sales. While many people seem excited about Resident Evil 4’s new features, there’s always going to be someone who still loves the original.

Resident Evil 4 is out now on PC, PS4, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
