Confused Call of Duty : Warzone 2 players discover random glowing bushes while playing on the Ashika Island map. This appears to be a mysterious new phenomenon that may be affecting the amount of time some Call of Duty : Warzone 2 players spend on one of the game’s newest maps.
The Ashika Island battle royale map originally launched during Warzone 2 Season 2 this past February. In Warzone 2, players can currently experience Ashika Island in Resurgence and DMZ modes. Several points of interest on Ashika Island are potential locations for firefights, and players will discover secrets and loot as they traverse the large map. Recently, a Warzone 2 player discovered a strange glowing bush while sailing with his teammates.
Reddit user and Warzone 2 player blackwaterbomb shared a gameplay clip of a strange glowing bush randomly appearing at Tsuki Castle on Ashika Island. The glowing pink bushes are very bright with a purple aura, easily distracting the player if they are nearby. Blackwaterbomb claims to experience this phenomenon once every ten games in Warzone 2, but the user has no explanation as to why this is happening on Ashika Island.
Several players in the Warzone 2 community have also encountered glowing bushes while playing on Ashika Island. Some believe the glowing bushes are caused by a bug involving the game’s shaders, reviewer FieryResuscitation encountered glowing bushes while playing with a faulty graphics card, which was subsequently replaced. Others claim that the glowing bushes are a bug that has been around since the Ashika Island map was first introduced in Warzone 2 Season 2.
Glowing bushes can be bright enough to confuse players, so it may be wise to stay away from them during a Warzone 2 match. PC gamers may also want to check their settings and graphics card if they encounter glowing bushes on Ashika Island, as the glow effect seems to be hardware sensitive.
If more players come across this glowing bush and convey their thoughts to the online community, the Warzone 2 developers may be encouraged to investigate the issue and implement a fix. A new Warzone 2 update addresses issues surrounding glowing bushes while bringing more tweaks and content to the game. Meanwhile, players can explore new content beyond Zuhua Island in Season 3 of Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.
Call of Duty: Warzone 2 is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
