Breath of the Wild beginners who choose to head west instead of Kakariko Village may stumble into the Gerudo Badlands. While the area itself may not be suitable for beginners, it has unique armor sets such as the Gerudo set and the Desert Voe set. Only one of these is needed to advance the main story, but if Link has rupees, it might be worth spending the money on another set of armor.
Like Grudo’s Fortress in Ocarina of Time, “voe” (men) are not welcome in the town of Grudo in Breath of the Wild. If players want the Desert Voe suit, they’ll need to find a way around that. Since it is necessary to enter the town of Grudo, it is not difficult to break into it. However, players who have successfully entered Grudo Town may find that the Voice of the Desert set cannot be bought in the ordinary Amor store in Grudo Town.
Where to Buy Voe Kits
Players can purchase the Desert Voe set at the Gerudo Secret Club (GSC). Alternatively, they can be purchased from the Rhondson Armor Boutique, but only after Tarrey Town has been completed. The easier way is to buy it from Gerudo Town, and the price of the Desert Voe Set is the same no matter where Link buys it.
To access GSC, Link needs a password. He can go to The Noble Canteen bar in Grudo Town (take the path between the jewelry store and the inn) and talk to the three Grudo women sitting by the window. However, a direct approach would cause them to bite Link for eavesdropping, so that wouldn’t work. Instead, enter the house to the left of the Noble Dining Hall and approach the window on the right. This would allow Link to properly eavesdrop on their conversation and obtain the password to Grudo’s secret club.
Once Link has the code – GSC (diamond) – he can gain access to the Secret Club. It’s in the opposite direction from The Noble Canteen, on the lane between the Armor Shop and the market stalls. Go to the door on the left wall and enter the code.

Upgrade Voe set
The good news about the Desert Voe set is that, unlike the corresponding Gerudo set, it can be upgraded. Not only does it provide heat resistance, but its set bonus will also provide chain impact damage resistance. This won’t protect Link from being struck by lightning, but it will prevent him from dropping his weapon when struck by Shock Arrows or Electric Keese’s. To receive the set bonus, Link needs to upgrade each piece of armor in the Desert Voe set to 2 stars or higher.
