THQ Nordic has announced that pre-order bonuses and wrestlers will be added as part of the AEW Fight Forever season pass. Since the announcement of AEW Fight Forever in December 2020, fans have been eagerly awaiting news.
Developer Yuke’s has been working with the wrestling company to bring an old-school wrestling game to PC and modern consoles, and plans to release Fight Forever on June 29. The full roster has yet to be confirmed, but fan favorites including Kenny Omega, Britt Baker D.M.D, and a realistic-looking fresh-squeezed orange Cassidy have all been confirmed for brawlers.
In a video posted by the official AEW Games account, the company revealed various AEW Fight Forever bonuses with the help of Matt Hardy. Players who choose to pre-order any version of the game will receive a Matt Hardy pack, which includes regular Hardy and his replacement Broken Matt Hardy character. The first season pass comes in three packs and will unlock two wrestlers as well as four additional mini-games. The FTR: Revival Pack will contain Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler, as well as the mini-games JoinUs and Deth Race-X. The Limitless Bunny Bundle will combine The Bunny and Keith Lee with the minigames MJF Car Thrash and Sloth Sling.
Finally there is the Hookhausen Very Handsome, Very Evil Pack featuring popular entertainers HOOK and Danhausen. People can choose to buy the pass individually or as part of the AEW Fight Forever Elite Edition. Beginning June 28, the Season One Pass and Matt Hardy pre-order bonuses are bundled with early access to the game.
Die-hard fans will no doubt be excited to get into the virtual ring with the likes of MJF and Young Bucks, especially among the many modes set in Fight Forever, but seeing the details of the first wave of additional wrestlers raises the question of why something like FTR The popular entertainers, who are the current AEW Tag Team Champions, are behind a further paywall.
Regardless, gamers will finally be able to get their hands on a game that has been highly anticipated since its initial release. On the eve of the release of All Elite Wrestling’s first game, players already had mixed feelings about the game’s development. Even the wrestlers themselves have been promoting the game, with Ricky Starks recently showing off the Switch version of Forever Fight to fans as they prepare to release their game.
AEW Fight Forever launches June 29 on Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
